What is Rakeback?

Poker rooms make their money by taking a % (usually around 3%-5%) of each pot played on their site. Rakeback is a system where it enables players to recuperate some of this rake back. Even though it is only a small amount per pot, if you are playing hundreds and even thousands of pots per month, these small amounts add up.

If you are playing online poker and are not receiving some form of rakeback, you are missing out on thousands of dollars each year. To start receiving rakeback, sign up here.

How is Rakeback calculated?

All poker sites keep a record of how many hands each player plays and what rake was taken from those hands. Using this information, there are two ways player rake can be calculated.

The first way is what we call shared rake. This means that if the rake amount taken was $3 and there were 10 players who were dealt cards in the hand, then each player has $0.30 ($3/10 players) attributed to them in rake.

The second way is called contributed rake. If we take the previous example but instead we say that the pot was $60. $30 was contributed by one player and $30 was contributed by another player. The remaining 8 players even though they were dealt cards did not contribute anything to the pot. Of the $3 rake the two players who each contributed 50% of the pot would have attributed to them 50% of the rake. The remaining players would not receive anything as they contributed 0% of the pot and hence 0% of the rake would be attributed to them.

This attributed rake is referred to as your MGR. Your MGR may then have (but not always) deductions such as fees, promotions (such as bonuses and guaranteed tournaments) deducted from your MGR. After these deductions you have what is called a net MGR and rakeback (say 30% such as at Sun Poker) is calculated on this Net MGR amount.

When and how am I paid?

Poker Rake Back offers you the ability to be paid at any time. All you have to do is log in to your account and make a withdrawal. These withdrawals will be processed within 48 hours.

Your cash out options range from poker room accounts to online institutions such as neteller or epassporte. If you require a different cash out method for whatever reason please contact us.

Please note that all fees associated with withdrawing your funds will be payable by you and will be withdrawn from your cash out amount.

What if I already have an account at a particular room?

It is generally impossible to get rakeback at a poker room if you already have an account on that site. We require you to create a new account on one of our sites where you have not previously had an account. If however you already do have an account at that site, it is possible that you might be able to open another account on one of the poker sites skins.

What is a Poker Room Skin?

A poker room skin hosts the same games, tables, and players as the poker room licensing it out. As a player, you won't notice much difference at all. Sometimes you might see individual promotions that differ but besides that it is basically the same. For example, Littlewoods Poker and Sun Poker are two skins on the same poker network, Cryptologic.

Can i receive sign up and reload bonuses as well?

Yes. Signing up with rakeback will not affect your ability to receive any poker room bonuses. However in some cases the bonus amount payable will be used to reduce your Net MGR and hence you will receive a reduced amount of rakeback.

What about tournaments?

In the majority of cases tournament fees are added to your MGR so you will be receiving rakeback for tournaments as well.

Do all poker games count or is it just hold em?

All poker games count. If you play poker at one of our partnered sites, you will be receiving rakeback no matter what game you play.

Can I refer my friends?

Yes you can. Poker Rake Back has a unique and simple referral system that will enable you to easily and efficiently refer you friends (or other players) to our site. Not only will you get credit for the referral but you will also be able to set how much rakback they get and what % you get to keep.

You can send an automatically generated email and you can even create your own landing page. You can virtually become your own rakeback affiliate but you don't have to worry about all the admin and the payments. WE handle all that. You will also be generating earnings on all your referrals referrals down to 5 tiers. That's right we have a 5 tier referral system that will enable you to generate more income for yourself than any other referral program.
